The Songbird’s Odyssey

In a humble nest at the edge of a great maple forest, a tiny songbird named Celine was born, the youngest of fourteen magical birds. Though small, her voice carried melodies that made the very leaves dance. As she grew, Celine faced the Whispers of Doubt that tried to silence her song, but with each challenge, her voice only grew stronger. One day, a mystical manager-falcon heard Celine’s voice echoing through the trees and, recognizing her rare gift, took her under his wing. Together, they soared across vast oceans and towering mountains, spreading Celine’s songs to every corner of the world.

In the glittering City of Lights, Celine met her true love, a gentle giant named René, whose heart beat in perfect harmony with hers. Their love was a duet that inspired ballads across the land. But their path was not without thorns; the quest for nestlings proved long and arduous, and later, René was struck by the Silence Eternal. Through it all, Celine found the strength to sing, her voice now carrying depths of emotion that touched souls even more profoundly.

Just as Celine was learning to fly solo again, the Stiff Winds of Silence swept through the land, threatening to still her wings and mute her magical voice. Retreating to the hidden Grove of Healing Harmonies, she immersed herself in pools of restorative melodies and practiced ancient vocal incantations. Though the journey was long and often discouraging, Celine’s determination echoed through the grove like a heartbeat, steady and unwavering.

As the moon hung like a silver medal in the sky, Celine spread her wings and flew to the top of the Iron Tower, where the Olympian Games of Joy were being celebrated. Taking a deep breath, she began to sing. Her voice, carrying all the joy, pain, love, and triumph of her journey, soared into the night. The Iron Tower began to glow, its lights dancing in rhythm with her melody. Golden threads of music wove through the air, connecting every heart, reminding all who listened that true magic lies in resilience, love, and the courage to keep singing, no matter what challenges life brings.

From that day forward, Celine’s songs carried a new magic – the power to heal, to inspire, and to remind all who heard them that even in the darkest of times, the music of the heart can never truly be silenced. Though new challenges may come, Celine knew she would always find the strength to sing on, for her voice was not just her own, but a gift she shared with the world, a testament to the enduring power of love, perseverance, and the indomitable human spirit.

The End.

01. Fairytale

By turning our stories into a fairytale crafted by AI, we create distance so we can analyze them with as little emotional attachment as possible, identify opportunities and, many times, speech patterns we use that paint us or others in a light we don’t necessarily intend to.

02. HERO’S JOURNEY

The transcript of the interview is mapped to the stages of Campbell’s Hero’s Journey.

This allows us to identify gaps in our storytelling and, more importantly recognize the cyclical nature of stories and how the misconception about linearity hinders our own ability to share them.

03. Archetype analysis

To illustrate the difference between self-perception and speech patterns, participants are asked to grade their identification to each archetype from 1 to 7.

This is the assessed on the interview’s transcript, where the way they actually spoke about themselves gets a grade from a LLM.

Most participants show a notable discrepancy between both.

By analyzing this we can then dig into the reasons this happens and make choices to ensure our self-perception, the presentation we desire and the language we use are of a piece.

LLM SPEECH PATTERNS ASSESMENT

04. Supporting characters

Supporting characters are key parts of credible narratives, acting as audience surrogates and doing away with the pervasive and toxic myth of the Ubermensch which we are culturally inclined to adhere to.

We assign archetypes to the supporting characters to identify gaps in storytelling devices. While not every single one needs to be present in every single narrative, it is unlikely that any one of them failed to present itself in some way in someone’s larger journey.

By analyzing these gaps we develop language to properly credit supporting characters when the narrative need arises.

05. artiFACTS

Artifacts as as important to stories as supporting characters. They ground them into reality, doing away, once more, with the myth of the Ubermensch.

We may not have actual swords and magic wands, but we have tools, weapons, and, just as importantly, the physical objects that may not have practical utility but serve as landmarks of the building of our identity.

Analyzing the artifacts of our stories and the way we speak about them is key because we tend to assign inanimate objects the characteristics of supporting. characters and vice-versa, a serious storytelling mistake that, more times than not, will alienate an audience
